Welcome to Expertly Dyed: Art by Science! This is your go-to place for beautiful hand dyed luxury yarn and fiber in 100% repeatable colorways.

All of the products listed are custom hand dyed by me. I have chosen domestic products where possible, but I also maintain levels of quality necessary to deliver to you a worthy product. The dyes I use are considered to be environmentally-friendly and low-impact, since the dye is completely absorbed into the yarn/fiber, and the fixative I use is citric acid (think Kool-Aid).

Currently, I have available these yarn bases: merino wool, organic wool, alpaca, noil silk, and tussah silk, and these fiber bases: cheviot wool, merino, superwash merino, blue faced leicester, faux angora, faux mohair, faux cashmere, tussah silk, silk hankies, mohair locks, and lincoln locks. I'm always expanding my selection, and will hope to include real angora, camel, and yak down, true luxury fibers at affordable prices.

Because of the custom dyeing experience, orders will take longer to process. Please view How an order is processed on this site. Occasionally, I'll have product already dyed, so you'll get your order sooner.
